Solace Family Home provides a place of refuge for children in need.
We will create a sense of belonging in our Home.
The Solace Family Home building were intentionally designed to create a family atmosphere. We did not want a large institutional building, but instead smaller buildings where children feel like they are part of a family. Each Home will have 12 children and one Mama that lives with them full time.
We believe education breaks generational barriers and unlocks opportunities.
The Children of the Solace Family Home will have the opportunity to attend the Tanda Bilingual Academy. This is a top school in region and is operated by our partner organization, 1040i. Many children in Cote d'Ivoire do not have the opportunity to go to school past elementary school or sometimes at all. The children of the Home will every opportunity to succeed.
We will do everything in our power to protect our children.
The children living in the Solace Family Home have come from incredibly difficult situations. We provide a safe environment for them to grow up in. Our staff includes Mamas that provide care around the clock, Aunts that help the Mamas during the day, and day and night guards. Our Director and Solace Missionaries oversee the staff.
We will help our children grow into the person God desires them to be.
The children living in the Solace Family Home come from a variety of backgrounds and situations. We believe they were created by God with a potential and we want them to fulfill that potential.
We will raise our children to impact their community and Cote d'Ivoire.
The goal of the Solace Family Home is not to isolate children from the their country and culture, but raise them to be future leaders. Children living in the Home will receive help until their complete university or skilled job training that can be used to enhance their lives and the lives of those around them.
